Atobi Connect enables cross-organization (e.g., HQ to regional offices) sharing of content created on Atobi. It keeps communication out of emails while ensuring security and providing access to relevant data (e.g. content reach).

Problem

Atobi users could share content created on the platfrom only within their own organization.

Often use case was that they need to send the educational or operational articles outside their organization. For example, when retail store launches a new product campaign with a brand.

Moreover, the sending party lacked the transparency on the content performance.

Results

On average, up to 30 articles per week are shared using Atobi Connect by 17 different organizations, replacing old communication via email.

Moreover, communication became more transparent, because all users involved now have direct access to data (such as reach, completion rate, score), enabling them to analyze and make data-driven decisions when creating new content.

Here is how I designed it:

How might we connect different organizations on our platform and give all parties overview on article performance?

Define

I believe that integrating forwarding feature to the Article Studio will decrease users time on creating content that needs to be shared with other organizations.

This will decrease time spent on content creation and keep communication on the platform instead of emails.

We were also anticipating a reduction of educational PDFs and an increase of educational content created on the Atobi platform, thereby enhancing engagement for store staff who complete the training.

Ideation

My focus was on the flow of sending the article, while my colleague worked on the inbox for the receiver.

I started ideating on possible UI solutions that would fit into the structure of the content creation studio (Article Studio) and came up with a simple forwarding flow that allows senders to share content.

One of the key features of Atobi Connect is tracking system. Once an article is sent, user can keep track if it was approved, scheduled, published, or rejected by the receiver.

Sender can leave a comment for a receiver, or withdraw article from their inbox.

And the most important sender can keep track of the article performance after the article is publised the receiver to their target audience.

Results

Atobi Connect completely replaced email communication for 17 clients as they actively adopted it over the past year. On average 30 articles are sent every week.

Moreover, it opened opportunities for potential growth of the platfrom. Cross-organization sharing allows big multi-brand retailers to send and receive educational content from their partner brands. Meaning that they are more interested in their partners using Atobi platform as well, so they can use the same tool for content creation.

This brings more transparency to their collaboration, and more potential clients to Atobi platform.
